Greenhead to Bellingham

This was the killer leg ... it was always going to be a tough one at 22 miles +.


Rather than opt for a really early start, we thought we'd go for cooked breakfast and due to the speedy service at the Greenhead hotel, it was gone 9am before we left.

Popular day today, Martin joined and with Robs
sister Libby and her husband and there were 6 of
us for a while ...

Hadrians Wall is more spectacular than I imagined ...


But after Libby and Bob left us we realised
there was still much to do. After leaving Hadrians Wall about 3pm, we realised we still had a long 15 miles to go to reach Bellingham.

We finally rolled in just after 9pm, but luckily food orders were already inn at the Cheviot Hotel
