Introduction

I've always enjoyed walking in the hills and mountains, but its always been limited to having to get back to the place you started off from. The idea of walking for a purpose to get from A to B, rather than just for the fun of walking I find intriguing.


So the idea of walking the Pennine Way, the longest and most famous of all the British Long Distance Paths has been a vague aim for some time, but never any real thought as to how I was going to achieve it. I then started a new job in Woking and found myself working with Rob, who had similar ambitions. Rob was a step ahead of me, already having had the motivation to complete the North Down Way.

So began the quest to complete the Pennine Way ...
