Standedge to Hebden Bridge

Myself, Ray and Rob completed a 4 day stretch this February, to link up the 'taster' we did from Edale back in 2014 with the 'middle third' we did last Summer.

This means we've now completed two thirds of the Pennine Way.

First day was from Standedge Cutting on the edge of the Peaks to Hebden Bridge in Calderdale (film location for Happy Valley )

This route also passed close to the famous 'Plonkers Farm' on the M62.

Weather was frosty and icy at the start - Ray did a spectacular tumble - and then progressed to rain.

We passed Stoodley Pike ( a large monument complete with viewing platform) and came down into Hebden Bridge (scene of floods last Christmas)
